Flying in to Preveza or Corfu Travel operators offer charter flights to Preveza From Corfu, take an inland flight to Preveza. Preveza airport is approximately 40 minutes by cab and costs about 30 to 35 Euros to Lefkas marina.
If you'd like to sail on your own: In Greece you do not need a sailing certificate for yachts smaller than 15 metres, although it's always useful when you can show one. Your Host and Hostess will take care of that for you - just bring a passport photo.
Yachts will be available for you to board, settle in and unpack from 5.00p.m. (sometimes earlier depending on end cleaning time and final checks from the previous hirers). If arriving earlier, you can meet with the crew or hosts and check in with them, and they will advise when your boat will be available. You could start your initial provisioning at the supermarket on the marina, prior to boarding at your allocated time. On returning at the end of your holiday, you can spend the last night on the boat, walking into Lefkas town and enjoying the many shops, pavement stalls and entertainment and a final meal before vacating the boat at 8:30am the following morning. If you'd like to sail in earlier to catch a flight that afternoon, just inform your hosts so they can arrange for final checks to be carried out, prior to departure. |
